We’re thrilled to welcome Max as one of our new Revolutions Rockstars! Born and raised in Minneapolis, Max started spinning to find a low-impact alternative to running and has been hooked on spinning’s high energy workout and rhythmic base ever since. As a senior studying at Stanford University, Max brings fierce energy and stress detoxing sprints to his study break workouts. With his passion for music, Max’s classes are the perfect dance party. Join Max as he finds his uforia in the Underground Wednesdays at 5:30. Check out some of his local favorites and fitness food tips below:
Favorite PA hot spots?
If I’m eating food in Palo Alto then there’s a 50% chance I’m at Sprout and a 50% chance I’m at Tofu House. But I’m also slowly converting into a Bare Bowls fanatic. Once I saw Dave Franco at Philz on Forest Ave, so I go there whenever I get a chance.
What do you do in your spare time?
I’m a senior at Stanford studying International Relations and Economics. I’m writing an honors thesis on Cuban economic liberalization. I love going to concerts and music festivals, running the Dish, and brunching.
Where do you find your uforia?
I find my uforia in the front row of a mosh pit, the peak of a windy hill after a steep run up, and cruising down 280 windows down with something loud blasting through the stereo.
What are your favorite pre/post workout snacks?
Pre-workout, I like something clean and simple. An apple with some almond butter, some carrots and hummus, or a Fage yogurt with agave.
Post-workout, I make a mad protein shake with vanilla whey, almond milk, peanut butter, banana, and chia seeds.
Favorite songs at the moment?
Desire by Years&Years, Truffle Butter by Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Wayne, and Real Love by Clean Bandit
