All About Us: Melisa!

We’re so excited to welcome new Revolutions Rockstar Melisa to the uforia Crew! As a longtime lover of all things fitness, Melisa found cycling during college hasn’t looked back. She’s a Southern California transplant from Huntington Beach but lives like a true Bay Area native knowing the best places to hike, eat, and listen to live music. Head to Melisa’s class for good beats and a whole lot of sweat to give you the endorphin high to start or end any day!

Favorite Nob Hill Hot Spots?

I really love wine bars so Amelie on Polk is a favorite. Post revolutions, I love to indulge in an Acai bowls so Basik Cafe is another great go-to when I have time. Plus, it’s always easy to rally a gang of uforians to go with!

I’m a wellness coach and work for a wellness app, Vida, helping people to reach different health and wellness goals ranging from weight loss to creating nutrition/exercise plans, drinking more water, finding personal relaxation time, getting more sleep, you name it through motivation, goal setting, and accountability!

I love any outdoor activity – hiking, paddle boarding, backpacking, picnics in the park, swimming at the beach, you name it!  I’m also a huge fan of live music and am always on the lookout for when any of my favorite bands are in town.

Where do you find your uforia?

I find my uforia when I can feel the intense energy in the Underground from everyone digging deep, getting out of their comfort zones by challenging themselves, sweating and grooving together to the SAME beat – and having fun doing it! Let the music push you outside your comfort zone!

What are your favorite pre/post workout snacks?

I absolutely love nut butters with fruit. Hummus and veggies. Eggs and avocado toast.  Or greek yogurt with a dash of coconut granola! So many snacks; so little time! 

Favorite Songs At The Moment?

Anything by Kygo or Odesza! Also recently really into G eazy and the new Bieber!
