All About us: Julia

Revolutions Rockstar Julia gives us the inside scoop on her favorite Nob Hill brunch spot, her top music picks, & what she craves post workout.

juliaMeet Julia:

My mom put me in ballet classes at age 3 and then I continued dancing formally for 20 years. I consider myself a lifelong dancer and I think that’s were my love for music and movement comes from. I discovered cycling in college, but didn’t truly appreciate it until I took my first Revolutions class. “Dance party on a bike” is my perfect workout! I loved it and am hooked!

Favorite Local Hot Spots?

I grew up near Palo Alto and have lived in Nob Hill for years, so I’ve definitely got favorite places near both studios. If you’re in Palo Alto, don’t miss Bare Bowls! Their acai bowls are the perfect post-workout treat. Nob Hill quietly boasts some amazing spots — Rove Kitchen for a casual dinner, Mymy for brunch, Harper & Rye for cocktails.

What do you do in your spare time?

You can often find me out for a run along the SF waterfront — I’m almost always training for a half marathon. On the flip side… I also love to bake! Cupcakes are my specialty 🙂

Where do you find your uforia?

I find my uforia when I’m cycling, dancing, or running along and the *perfect* song comes on.

What are your favorite pre/post workout snacks?

I’m not a big pre-workout eater, but I’ll take a big ol’ cup of coffee! Post-workout, it’s scrambled eggs or avocado toast. If I run a race, I’m craving chocolate milk as soon as I cross the finish line!

Favorite Song At The Moment?

“Fresh Eyes” by Andy Grammer, “Starving” by Hailee Steinfeld & Grey feat. Zedd,  “Catch & Release” by Deepend Remix by Matt Simons.

I’ll always love a good throwback… but it’s impossible to pick just one!

Anything else you want to share with our uforians?

I’ve been a uforia client since 2011 & love the community we all create! Come say hi before or after class! 🙂
