uforia-instructor-idaMeet Ida:

My interest in fitness really started when I moved to San Francisco two and half years ago. Exercise hadn’t previously been a big part of my life and being new to the city I found it fun to explore new neighborhoods by checking out different studios all over the city. After trying almost every kind of group fitness class out there, I found that cycling was the perfect mix of an intense and challenging workout that was also a ton of fun. From the moment I took my first Revolutions class when the Nob Hill studio opened I was hooked on the energy and positivity that comes with every uforia class. Exercise has now become a vital part of my life and a great spin class, run, or workout is often the best part of my day. I’m excited to help bring that feeling to the rest of the uforia community!

Favorite Local Hot Spots?

Edinburgh Castle for beers and a great dance floor, Shanghai Kelly’s to catch the Steelers games, and Basik Cafe for their acai bowls. If anyone wants to nerd out about transportation and engineering, the cable car museum is one of the most interesting places in the city.

What do you do in your spare time?

One of my favorite things about SF is how distinct each neighborhood is. I really enjoy exploring new neighborhoods through walks, and of course eating all of the amazing food the city has to offer along the way. On weekends you can find me scouting out the sunny spots in Dolores or Golden Gate Park, cooking brunch or dinner with friends, and trying to find dive bars with dance floors (suggestions welcome).

Where do you find your uforia?

When I can see and feel the results of hard work pay off – whether that’s at work, after a tough workout, or successfully executing plans from the group chat and being surrounded by my friends.

What are your favorite pre/post workout snacks?

Bananas, homemade granola (recently I’ve been making my own), and anything you can put peanut butter on.

Favorite Song At The Moment?

“False Alarm – Hook N Sling Remix” by Matoma, “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars, “Beautiful People (Can Bener Mash-Up Remix)” by  Sia ft. Rihanna

Anything else you want to share with our uforians?

I am constantly amazed by the energy, confidence, and fun that fill the room during every uforia class. Can’t wait to see you on the bike!
