All about us: Ali

We’re so excited to welcome Ali as our newest Revolutions Rockstar! Whether she’s in Palo Alto or Nob Hill, Bay Area native Ali finds adventure wherever she can and it’s her spirit of adventure that you’ll find radiating off her bike in Revolutions. As someone who’s always been active–running, hiking, biking, rock climbing, kayaking, and anything else that will keep her outside–Ali first discovered cycling as a substitute for city running when it was too dark at 6:00am and a little too crazy on the streets at 6:00pm. From there, Ali’s love blossomed and we can’t wait for you to embrace the sweat with her! Keeping reading to learn how Ali stakes out dog parks for puppies and discover the one thing she always craves post-workout!

Favorite Nob Hill Hot Spots?

I live in Nob Hill so I could not have been more excited when uforia Nob Hill opened up. There are so many awesome restaurants and bars, but I think my favorite spot is Huntington Park. I love going there with a blanket and a good book under the guise of reading, but really to play with other people’s dogs. My apartment’s roof is probably my true go-to spot though. It has an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge and feels like my own little world.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love reading and getting lost in another world. If anyone has any good book recommendations, I’m always looking! I also love doing anything outside that keeps me active – running, hiking, biking, rock climbing, kayaking, you name it! In the Bay Area, you have it all at your fingertips and I like to go on as many new adventures as I can.

Where do you find your uforia?

I find my uforia in moments when I feel myself evolve and grow. I love pushing myself to the limit and getting the chance to appreciate how amazing our minds and bodies are. Whether that be on a Revolutions bike, on a trail, or any other type of challenge, there’s nothing like the feeling of accomplishing something you didn’t think was possible.

What are your favorite pre/post workout snacks?

Nothing gets me through a tough workout like imagining my post-class coffee. I love coffee and it always tastes so good and satisfying after a workout. I’m a real Morning Warrior when it comes to my workouts, so I’m especially jonesing for a cup of joe after a 6:00am or 7:00am class. That first delicious sip after an early morning class…there’s nothing better!

Favorite songs at the moment?

Man, that’s way too tough to answer. Making my playlists for class is one of the best but also hardest parts of the job! I love picking out music for us to embrace the sweat to but it’s always so tough to leave songs out! If anyone ever wants to take a 2 hour Revolutions class, I’d have no trouble making that playlist!  These days, I am really loving Sam Smith and you can find him lighting up my Spotify.

Anything else you might want to share with our uforians?

I’ve had so much fun taking classes with you all during my training! I’ve been doing the #summerofsweat challenge and it’s been so cool to meet all you awesome uforians as I push myself to come at least four times a week. I can’t wait to start my mornings with all you Morning Warriors!
