Christmas has come and gone, as has New Years. Every year I travel home to Canada to freeze and catch-up with family and friends. Although I love Palo Alto and all the wonderful weather, there is nothing like being up north and skating with my niece and nephews and cross-country skiing at the cabin with my family.
One of the hardest parts of traveling is staying active. I always miss my classes, although I was able to take in a really hard yoga class taught by a good friend Dustin at One Yoga.
At Uforia Studios, we, just like most of you have set goals for the New Year. Our goal is to offer a variety of the best and hottest new classes in the area taught by the best instructors. No short order.
Some say rules are made to be broken. Maybe, but not resolutions. The busier I get, the harder it is to make time for exercise. But, I have found that the only way I stick with my physical resolutions are to:
1) Pick a time of day for exercise, for me it is the morning
2) Pick a few activities or classes that challenge me
What are your keys to sticking to your resolutions?
What new physical activities are you going to do in the New Year?
Stop by the studio and I promise we’ll help you keep your resolutions. If you’re looking to tighten and tone we offer you BarBlend our take on Pilates and Ballet conditioning. If you just want to look like you did when you were playing high school football we have uDefine which will incorporate weights, TRX and bosu balls for your circuit training. If you want to lose the Christmas weight and gain some energy we have uCycle in our stellar cycling studio with top of the line bikes in the only drop-in cycling studio in the area. If you’ve told yourself that this is the year you learn to dance and make new friends, come by to take a Zumba or Hip Hop class sure to get rid of your stress and those extra pounds.
Hope to see you at the studio, 819 Ramona Street, Palo Alto.
